One of the Barlow lenses had a fracture in the glass, however a new one was sent out right away and arrived in good condition. For the scope if the "tension" focus knob on the left is loose you can hold the right knob stationary and turn the left one to tension the mechanism for smooth movement and to not droop when in use.
