        It Works

        Back in 2003 I bought a similar Legrand metal enclosure for my new home & was impressed that all the things that it took to make a complete media cabinet were available for it & worked together. 20 odd years later, they have upgraded to plastic so WiFi signals can go thru it, added airflow slots so heat can get out & expanded the list of things that are available to make a complete media cabinet! I passed on the WiFi, but have phone, TV, & internet switches in this one. The original fit between studs on 18" centers & this one is 14 1/4" wide outside & the nail holes 16" apart which equates to studs on 16" centers. I got a 1993 home, studs on 18" centers, so I had to do a little jury rigging to get it to fit, but I'm happy with it.
