To say that Gladys Knight & the Pips are soul music legends is no exaggeration. Reference to the Top R&B (Billboard) Singles 1942-1999 publication shows the group listed at #8 in the chart of the Top 500 most successful R&B artists across that time span. And it is not just in their native USA where their presence has been felt as this 36-track set demonstrates with numerous chart hits on both sides of the Atlantic between June 1973 and the end of 1985.
