      VCR was either, a) “tested” by merely plugging it in to see if lights came on, or, b) tested, determined to not play tapes (visual static followed by a blue screen reading, ‘tape heads may need cleaning’ resulted from trying to play multiple tapes) and this was then omitted from the item’s description. Neither procedure is good. A religious message was included in the package. I was able to take the top off and carefully clean the heads and cause tapes to work. Item was well-packed.

      It came well packed...

      I started using it right away;easy hook-up, good picture quality. Better than the one it's replacing. I haven't used the universal remote yet.... I don't remember that the old vcr displayed the closed captioning! A pleased customer

      Missing Parts

      The product works fine but its being advertised as coming with cables and a remote. There were no cables nor a remote. I had to purchase cables for it to work. I have no remote that I paid for...and can't find one compatible to operate it. So its not a defect in the product...just incompetency of EBay with no checks in place to make sure customers actually get what they pay for. Then to make it worse...EBay doesn't have Customer Service availability to speak with a live person. HOW FUSTRATING !!!

      I am very satisfied with the seller and the VCR.

      The VCR works fine. It had some scratches on top of the cabinet, but that doesn't have any thing to do with the working of the unit. I am happy that the unit works, after all it is a used VCR.

      VCR DOES NOT POWER ON. i NEED A REFUND / INSTRUCTIONS.

      I just opened it today for Thanksgiving use. It does not power on. I tried several plugs and there is only one power button. The power cord to the VCR is non-removable, so not loose there. HOW DO I GET A REFUND.
