James ShreeveThe New York Times Book Review[Behe's] talent for lively exposition...charmingly convey[s] a sense of biochemistry's hidden beauty., David BerlinskiAuthor of A Tour of the CalculusMike Behe...makes an overwhelming case against Darwin on the biochemical level. No one has done this before. It is an argument of great originality, elegance, and intellectual power. For readers who have been persuaded that biologists have long since demonstrated the validity of Darwinian theory, [Behe's] observations are apt to be a source of astonishment., Will St. JohnDetroit Free PressA well-written and thoughtful statement of the biochemical challenge.

      • This book is for creationists to read, so that they can plug their ears to real information.

This book makes one argument consistently throughout - that evolution cannot occur due to irreducible complexity. The author proceeds to list a number of organs etc that would not function unless they were fully formed, and pronounces that evolution doesn’t happen. All of these arguments have been debunked. Everything in his book has an explained method of evolving. It seems like irreducible complexity really just means “I didn’t personally think of how this could have evolved”.
