        Sweet Dreams

        Caution: I'm old enough to remember when TV programs and movies were made in black and white. Maybe that is why I find Brian Benben and Wendy Malick hilarious in the early HBO series Dream On. Martin Tupper (Benben) was reared with television and movies from an earlier era often serving as babysitter and mentor. Consequently, he often interprets the vagaries of his own adult life through this black and white lens. Add this to the fact he is newly divorced, navigating both old and new relationships, is a book editor for a B grade New York publisher with a dysfunctional secretary, and has a smarmy TV talk show host for a best friend, there is plenty of material for hilarity. I only regret the show ran for two seasons, but it is a good example of early HBO programming and the rich quality of ...

        Winning and tragically underrated series

        Subject says it all. Brilliant, hilarious, with a lead so lovable you’d follow him down virtually any path. Cannot recommend this series enough. One can only hope the rest of it gets released one day and that all of it gets the proper HD treatment that it so sorely deserves.

        A Great Show

        It's a shame that the remaining seasons are not available. This show was superbly cast, and the stories with the blending of old footage is amazing. Somebody had to have done a lot of homework to get the footage that fit perfectly with the storylines. C'mon, get the remaining seasons out there for us to enjoy!

        Great 90's Comedy

        This show cracks me up. My wife thinks it is a 3 stooges thing or something (she doesn't find it funny) but I love it. I guess not everyone appreciates this type of humor (old film clips let you know what the main character is thinking-going through). I find it hilarious! And as a down-trodden wpm I relate. Very funny.
