      Buyer asks for a steep discount on item and then complains about packaging! It was a rubbermaid piece. Pretty sure you'd need to run it over with a paver truck to harm it. Glad it arrived safely and for a price that BOTH of us could live with.

      Nikon Coolpix P530

      The camera is compact and easy to hold. Controls are readily accessible. Haven't tried using the video function, just stop motion photography. The Image Stabilization could use some work - slightly blurred photos are unexpectedly common. I take a lot of close-up shots and found the camera to be a real dud in that department. I have an old Coolpix L120 that runs rings around this camera.

      Nikon coolpix

      This is one of many coolpix that end up dead. One day it will simply go dead and not turn on. I suppose it's something faulty in the circuitry. You can verify this by looking in the internet ... just type in "coolpix won't power on" and see how many of these suffer the same fate. Worst thing about it is that it cost so much to repair that you're commonly better off buying a new camera ... Especially if it's NOT a Nikon.

      Great little prosumer camera.

      I've been very pleased with the P530. Versatile and easy to use, yet yields surprisingly good images. I'm especially impressed with its low light and image stabilizing capabilities: I've been able to get very good hand-held shots at 1/10th sec. and even slower. Very respectable video results too, although I wish there was more versatility in the video settings(although it IS, after all, primarily a still camera). I like it so much I've bought two, which I keep on different settings depending on my needs. Highly recommended.

      The camera is a good valve

      Hi For years I have always had Canon Camera's , in 35mm format SLR, now because slides are a thing of the past , it was time to up grade . So I thought I was try something different , this is my first Nikon camera . So far the quaily of the photo's are not bad , the camera is easy to use , and has plenty on internal memory , This is one thing I do like , no need for memory card , unless I want one . The camera is light weight and easy to use once you read the manual , the camera is a good valve for the money ,,
