        Surprising

        I bought the i3-530 to use as a test for my lga 1156 socket motgerboards, so I could use bigger and better cpus for my builds. I frowned upon the paltry 2 cores and 4 threads, thinking them not remotely up to the task of modern gaming.. What I have found instead is a capable and incredibly affordable option for budget conscious gamers that aren't above used parts. At stock clocks paired with a gtx 770 it runs Doom at 60fps, Fallout 4 at 51 fps, the Metro benchmark at a surprising 45 fps on the high preset, and Shadow of Mordor on Very High at 70 fps. Can't wait to see what an overclock yields. 10/10 Would buy again.
