      i've had these sine the 90's.

      the newer lutron dimmers seem to last a lot longer than the older style. hard to go wrong here, u must be careful if u plan on ever using leds, get that lower wattage type. i can say that incandescents will typpically last for 20 yrs with these dimmers. WHy? most likely due to the lack of shock when initially turned on. the dimmer sends power to the light at a gradual pace.
