The author lives up to the high standards set in his other historical books. Well-researched yet written to make history come alive.
Like other books from this author I have read, beautifully written and well-detailed. While this is a detailed account, the book reads like great fiction with character development and suspense, even though we know the ending! Also like his other books, well-researched. Drawing upon newspaper articles and letters written by the participants.
