        Fabulous canner

        Love this canner, easy to use and does exactly what it says it will, no gauge to babysit is a bonus, scary to use first couple of times but now it's my favourite food preservation method.

        Pleased with product but recommend 23 quart canner.

        Product in great condition and arrived earlier than promised. Bottom of pan is tapered to work on an 8" burner so it works on my ceramic top stove. I am pleased with my purchase. However, the 23 quart canner has the same bottom and will also work on a ceramic top, it is just taller. If I realized that I would have purchased the taller one because it has a pressure gauge rather than the weighted gauge. At my altitude I need to can at 11lb PSI but must do the weighted gauge at 15lb. I wonder if the quality of my processed food will suffer from the extra pressure.

        The canner is great and useable even with a broken lid handle!

        It came with a broken lid handle! Put a temporary wooden handle on it. I am pleased to say the canner worked perfectly. I canned raw chicken! Had to order a replacement handle from the US,at my expense... $25.00 CDN. I am now going to can beef, my mother use to can meat in the 40's and I remember how good it was and I wanted to eat it again, The Presto Pressure Canner allows me that privilege.

        Great pressure canner

        Used it today to pressur can 7 quarts of cubed pumpkin. First time using a pressure canner with weights. Followed the instruction manual, everything worked perfectly. Used it on a glass top stove, pressure canner didn't rock on the surface, and it was able to keep pressure the entire 90 minutes with the burner heat just below medium. Very happy with the first time using it.

        I love using this pressure canner for canning and cooking. It’s so easy to use and also clean up. I rather have the Presto with the rocker than one with a dial.
