    One of the better Core 2 Quads

    Although many quad core CPU's come clocked at much faster speeds & FSB ratings than this one, this processor is 'unlocked' which means it can easily be overclocked with a motherboard that has CPU tweaking features. After doing a little research before buying it, I found that most people got it to run at speeds of 3.8GHz on averge and some up to 4.0GHz. Some will agrue that, oh you're going to fry the chip by doing that or you need to spend the time and money to water cool. Well not with this processor. I'm running it at 3.83GHz,air cooled with a thermal take HFS and heat pipes (so obviously not the stock intel HSF) and even under a full load I'm barely hitting 46 degrees C. I've run some benchmarks using Everest Pro which compares this CPU against several AMD Phenoms, quad & 8 core ...

    Awesome product and great value for the money!

    I bought the Intel Core 2 Quad Q9505 for my home build project for my first quad core pc. I had a delima about the expense difference between the Q9505 and the Q9550 on Ebay. So, I built my pc and a friend had a Q9550 I borrowed to test on my pc. Then I read a review between these two processors and concluded for the price difference the Q9505 is the best choice. I have no regrets. This cpu is fast and smooth operating and is awesome with multiple applications running. For a cost range of $65 to $95 on Ebay, it is a very wise purchase in my opinion.
