    New world music

    Purchased Birds Of Fire-Mahavishnu Orchestra and Shakti- Natural Elements--both featuring John Mc Laughlin. I have owned the above in Vinyl Form since the 1970's....wanted to update the Format to higher quality in CD. IMPORT CD's.COM had both for a very reasonable price and no shipping cost- what else can you want as a purchaser.....plus it arrived earlier than set date- Bonus ! The Music is EXTREMELY clearer-jumps at you- John McLaughlin on his own is a TRUE MUSICIAN EXTRAORDINAIRE !- All who have heard- owned his music no that he is EPIC .... since the 1970's he has pushed the boundaries as a solo player - BUT is very motivated and intense when surrounded by greatness .... IF you haven't heard his works-- a Great Starting place are the 2 cd's I have mentioned-- Shakti is greatly ...

    Best Mahavishnu Orchestra album by far!

    Mahavishnu Orchestra is the original progressive jazz band from which all others after are measured by. With lightning riffs and profound melodics, they set the stage for a grand experience in musical listening! Birds of Fire, their first album, is also their best offering. Highly recommended for anyone who loves driving jazz/rock, and EVERY tune on this recording is excellent! The price is surprisingly low for a masterpiece of this level!
