The impeller fit perfectly. The plastic of the pump chamber got very hot when it failed and may have ingested some sand or something. The pump chamber was chewed up. I used coarse grit sandpaper followed by finer grades until I got it fairly shiny with a few pits. I probably took off enough plastic to reduce the maximum pressure the pump can produce but it works.
