    the first one was defective but they sent a replacement and it works good and the seller stands by his word i tested 2 cpu 2 different memory and power supply on the first defective one like they asked second replacement they sent took a little extra time and they even tracked it leaving me updates and when it arived i tested it and everything worked with no problems and they stand behind their word negative replacement took longer then the first one

    Basically an i7-870 without IGPU

    This socket 1156 Xeon is basically an i7-870 without the on-chip integrated graphics. In situations where you're using an external PCI(e) graphics card (which I would think would be most of the time) this is hardly and issue. Since there is no Integrated Graphics Processor Unit, however, there is significantly less heat concentration within the die, allowing you to either upclock the CPU for better performance (at equivalent temperatures), or run it "stock" at lower temperatures. Either one is a "win". Of course, this is still pre-Sandy Bridge architecture; Intel made huge improvements in IPC (and added the first-generation AVX instruction set) right after this gen. Nonetheless, it can still hold its own in office/general use apps and games that aren't strongly CPU bound.

    Over clocking

    Thought it was impossible to overclock these processors I was wrong I was able to overclock this from 2.9 GHz to 3.7 GHz reliably with a cooler master water cooler performs like a beast 4 logical cores 8 threads with hyper threading LGA 1150 series socket for 20$ this was an amazing purchase

    Hyper threading on the cheap!

    I replaced an I5-760 with this x3470. It has opened up a lot more possibilities for my old Dell XPS. Rendering times has been reduced when I’m editing a video. I’m able to stream my gameplay thanks to the CPUs hyper threading. It did struggle when I tried to play a game stream and record at the same time though. I have the X3470 paired with a GTX1050ti (4G) and it is a perfect match.
