Question: Why would Wishbone Ash go to America to record an album in a big-deal studio (Florida's Criterion, home to Eric Clapton and the Bee Gees), employing a big shot American producer (Bill Szymczk, of J. Geils, Joe Walsh, and Who fame), and still end up with an album that sounds exactly like all their others? Answer: Operating, apparently, on the eminently sensible "if it ain't broke don't fix it" theory, the band decided not to mess with a commercially proven formula, and as a result their mix of blues, folk, and prog-rock style riffage mated to endearingly cosmic lyrics remains intact here.
