Much better quality than the cheap ones
This audio extractor worked when two other (much cheaper) ones were inconsistent and cut out often. I have a particular HDMI source and a particular monitor; these two devices work fine together when connected directly, but I needed to extract the audio signal to send to my speakers. I tried two different cheap ($15-20) audio extractors, and both of them worked sometimes, but often the monitor would refuse to see the signal and I would have to try resetting and changing input source over and over until it finally worked. Plus, sometimes the image would cut out for a second even after it had been working for a while. I decided to try this more expensive converter. After setting the DIP switches correctly, I just plugged it in and it worked immediately with no stability issues. It has been ...
