As Nasty As They Wanna Be is The 2 Live Crew's third studio album. It was the group's largest seller, being certified double platinum by the RIAA. In 1990, The United States District Court For The Southern District Of Florida ruled the album legally obscene. This ruling was reversed by the Eleventh Circuit. This is the first music album to be deemed legally obscene.

    what could i possibly say about this cd,that hasn't already been said?how 'bout, that even after 19 years,this one can still make people uncomfortable.how about, by america banning it,made every teenager in america want to hear it!honestly,musically,it's adventurous,but not overly inventive.lyrically,it IS extremely profane(even by today's standards),but it's just good time sex rhymes.ya know,rock groups like AEROSMITH& MOTLEY CRUE had the same exact agenda,they just sugarcoated the crap out of it,(NOBODY BANNED THEM?).2LIVE CREW,don't believe in sugar,and do NOT KISS THEIR RECORD COMPANYS' BACKSIDE!THIS IS X-RATED,SO IF YA DON'T LIKE IT,DON'T LISTEN!BUT I DO,SO...LET'S GET NASTY!!!

    The group deemed TOO NASTY

    awesome album released in 1989 2 Live Crew broke every boundary and were the first group ever to be labeled obscene and were one of the many reasons we have the parental advisory sticker for questionable lyrics. They had hits before this release but this was certified 2x platinum and their biggest album. Gotta love the use of sampling through out the album notably the use of dialogue for the intro to Me So Horny. Artists sample include Van Halen (which sued for unauthorized use of Ain't talking bout love) Guns N Roses (Sweet Child O Mine Jimi Hendrix voodoo child (slight return) Kraftwerk and a few others that escape me. This is one album that while lyrically immature is a masterpiece and belongs in your music collection.

    An excellent cd if you are into old school rap.

    This is an excellent cd if you are into old school rap. It is filled full of explicit lyrics and very strong sexual content. This is one of those cd's that almost every song on the disk is very good. Not one of those with just 1 or 2 good songs. If you are thinking about buying this cd, take it from me, just do it. I highly reccommend this to any adult.
