    Good Movie!

    Never thought I'd like the new version of this movie after seeing the first one so many times over the years. This one put a new spin on the old story line plus had newer type special effects.

    Ok remake, you might like it.

    This movie isn't as good as the 1 st one, but it was worth my time. It has a good twist to it. It's a bit dark for young people. It has good leads and an ok plot too. And a good supporting cast. It also has an ok screenplay.

    Good as it gets

    Keanu Reeves has made some good films he was a good-looking guy and he had a talent for acting but a lot of it went through to the wayside. I think this film was okay they missed the biggest opportunity of all when when the film open and Gort comes out he should have annihilated all the police he should have been dilated buildings in the distance like a white house and Congress we all would have cheered for that one, but they missed a golden opportunity he really didn't do anything at all he melted a few planes until he actually dissolves into whatever those bugs are that decides to eat the Earth and all the people on it which I thought was genius but I really thought it would have been better if we could have saw a little more of him zapping army tanks and army jeeps in army men into ...

    Special effects won’t improve a classic

    I bought this for the original (1951) version, which is rightfully viewed as a sci-fi classic. I watched the re-make, out of curiosity; it confirmed my suspicion, which was that a script changes, a color print, and high tech special effects, wouldn’t improve on the original. They didn’t. The price justified my purchase, in any event.
