I bought this on sale for my son's birthday along with the Fender Rumble 40 amp. It's a great budget friendly bass with really nice passive tones. I did have to adjust the neck a bit and let it settle because of the change in temp/humidity from shipper's location but no problem at all. I like the 2 volume blend knobs for the pickups vs a switch. I have absolutely zero complaints from all of my Yamaha instruments and this one is an understated gem! Great overall experience from Musician's Friend!
