Product Information

Academy Award-winner Sally Field plays matriarch to a host of adult children in BROTHERS & SISTERS, a drama following the ups and downs of the Walker family. The emotional second season sees Nora's (Field) youngest child, Justin (Dave Annable), returning from the Iraq war with mental and physical wounds, while her other son, Kevin (Matthew Rhys), adjusts to his first committed relationship with another man. Meanwhile, Tommy (Balthazar Getty) copes with a new baby and a troubled marriage, Kitty (Calista Flockhart) helps run her fiancé's presidential campaign, and Sarah (Rachel Griffiths) battles her ex-husband for custody of their two children while running the family business. Throughout it all, Rebecca (Emily VanCamp), the illegitimate child of the late William Walker (Tom Skerrit) by his mistress, Holly (Patricia Wettig), struggles to carve a place for herself among the tight-knit siblings. Every moving moment from the 2007-2008 season is included in this volume, offering a complex perspective on the trials of the modern family.

    Brothers & Sisters-Second Season(2008)

    The only reason I didn't give the product an excellent rating is b/c I realized with the final CD that there was the writers' strike last season. The effects of the strike meant a much shorter season for most of the series shows. Basically, I felt shorted for my money, but that was out of everyones control, but Hollywood. I think the producers tried to make it up to the viewers/purchasers on the final CD filling it with cancelled out-takes. It was a waste of time for me but perhaps others appreciated it. The writing and acting on this show is excellent - I'm looking forward to next season.

    THE WALKERS, without walkers, but still lovingly DISFUNCTIONAL!

    Join the Walkers every week as I have (this being the second season, but all are great!) for a group therapy session. There are "secrets" which never can be kept for more than a couple minutes of viewing time. You'll see lots of political and social discourse, not to mention intercourse, but they mention it, of course. Bottom line: See this & all seasons of "Brothers and Sisters" for the superb acting ensemble fortified by terrific writing.
