Synopsis
Actions of the German air force during the Spanish Civil War Covers the bombing of Guernica and other events Draws from previously undiscovered source material In 1936, civil war broke out in Spain, a violent prelude to World War II. Germany and the Soviet Union clashed there by proxy, with Hitler supporting Franco's Nationalists and Stalin aligning with the Republicans. The Third Reich sent the Condor Legion, a unit composed primarily of Luftwaffe forces, and the conflict became a proving ground for concepts like blitzkrieg, for officers like Adolf Galland and Werner MOlders, and for aircraft like the Bf 109, He 111, and Ju 97. Chillingly, the war also saw the development of terror bombing., In 1936, civil war broke out in Spain, a violent prelude to World War II. The book was shipped in a timely way, and was well protected with bubble packaging. For a book that is nearly 75 years old, it is in nearly perfect condition--no markings, dogears or fraying. The dust jacket has a little wear and tear on it, but that's to be expected; exactly as described. A great value for a rare book. A+ Reliable Seller--buy with confidence!

Excellent condition item, as described and pictured...and packaged well. Still scratching my head why the postage amount was so high - twice as much as normal ($29 instead of the usual $13-14 for a single paperback from the U.S. to the U.K.)...it took the shine off a pleasing purchase. I did enquire about the postage rate, but did not get a reply. I went ahead and purchased anyway, because I wanted to add the title to my collection. Not sure why eBay are quoting you so much for postage! 🤔

I received the book I ordered in the condition depicted and described on the webpage. The seller packaged the book in a plastic envelope and bubblewrap with a cardboard support, and shipped in a cushioned envelope to protect against damage in the mail.
