It functions properly and the images created are as sharp as the film allows it to be. Ejecting is simple and straightforward and you can almost instantly figure out when the image has properly ejected. I had trouble ejecting the dark slide of my photo, but that is because the provided batteries were not powerful enough (the seller recommends Li-Ion batteries). You can also gently remove the dark slide by hand in a room with no light.
