    A GOOD TRIBUTE TO A VERY UNDERRATED BAND

    It was not just Janis. Long before music industry know-nothings started whispering in Janis' ear, there was a seminal rock band from San Francisco called Big Brother And The Holding Company. For years this band has gotten a bad rap as being not capable of backing up Janis' voice. They only arranged, played, and recorded "CHEAP THRILLS", one of the best albums ever to come out of the San Francisco scene. "Piece Of My Heart"? Yeah, that was a piece of crap. Only one of the best singles of the 60's. Janis' solo recordings after leaving Big Brother never had the same punch, and her live backup bands were never as good as Big Brother. CHECK THIS DVD OUT TO SEE A GREAT BAND OF GUYS THAT NEVER GOT THE PROPER RESPECT.

    Rock n Roll at It's Best!

    The Queen of Rock! and one of the best bands she ever sang with! Big Brother is a band that never received the respect they deserved. But they shur as hell rocked especially with Janis as the lead singer! In my book Janis could make a sucky band great!

    Big Brother: Stiry of Janis and Sam Andrew and SF scene

    Excellent behind the scenes story of the band and insights into everyone. Footage I had never seen before of Janis Joplin.
