Great camera and ahead of its time for what it was and still is.

I bought this as a spare since my original is almost 30 years old and I paid about 400 dollars for it back then. I now am adding lenses and other accessories since they are almost free. The features are my favorite since I have had many other cameras such as Nikon, Leica, Perfex, Kodak and so on but still use a Speed Graphic for some desert scenes. Still process my own film and enjoy weekends in the country taking pictures.

  • Viewfinder display

Overall a good easy to use AF film SLR. When buying ask seller if shutter speed, f/stop and focus confirmation are fully visible in viewfinder display if this is important to you. One I bought recently had display "bleed" and had to use top panel of camera for this info. Otherwise camera has secure, tight feel as if new.

  • 35mm Minolta 7000i

Nice easy to lean and shot like a professional. I have several of these cameras and use everyone. They heavy duty and built to last. Even with their age they still have many of the features of the new cameras. One of the things I like most is the ability to use a wide variety of films. B&W, color prints, slides etc. Buy one with confidence. John46678

  • Minolta 7000i, the best viewfinder ever, and fast winding, shutter 1/4000

I am a film photographer. It slows me Down so I can learn photo composition - the most important aspect of getting better Pictures. The Minolta 7000i will help a great deal in this respect, the viewfinder is one of the best and biggest ever made. Many New fancy digital slr cameras has a kind of small tunnel viewfinder, it makes it hard to compose a Picture. I have read about the Nice viewfinder, therefore I purchased the camera from ebay. Minolta 7000i is an old camera, but sturdy built and a workhorse. It has very simple and quick Control buttons, the camera is not taking attention from composing a Picture. It still has 1/4000 shutter and 3 frames per second winding - not far behind cameras today. Also I need autofocus to get Sharp Pictures of animal Pictures. A cat is so fast that ...

  • I love my Minolta maxxum 7000i

I love my minolta maxxum 7000i it's the best camera I've owned and I have a digital camera that takes good pictures but it don't compare to this camera Love how when I'm taking a picture it focuses for me on the main object it's an awesome camera for us that want to have a digital camera that focuses and does the main part for you but also want the film like the golden days It's like have the best of both worlds I love my camera and price wasn't bad Great camera to start your photography dreams :-)
