Gamers who love the competition and frenzied action of paintball, but don't particularly enjoy getting hit in the face with paint pellets, can take the easy way out thanks to NPPL Championship Paintball 2009. There are five game modes, and players can shoot it out in more than 35 tournaments, including woodsball levels, and real locations from the National Professional Paintball League, the Millennium European Paintball Series, and the Xtreme Paintball Sports League. "Career Mode" follows players as they advance from rookie to pro status, upgrading and unlocking markers, barrels, hoppers, and more than 100 pieces of gear along the way. Online multiplayer action lets up to 14 gamers duke it out in giant team battles, and the Field Creator feature lets players design their own field layouts and share them online with friends.

Good play, but average game
The games overall playability is nice. You can slide into a knee or belly position from a full run. When your main charicter is out for the game you switch to an active player until everybody is out. There are plenty of mods and upgrades for you marker and uniform. Here's where it turns downhill for me. First, It is a SIN to not have 2-player action from a 1st person shooter game. I'm not sure if the makers didn't want to spend the extra time and money in developing the programming for that or what, but........SHAME SHAME. Second, The depth on the field is such that it makes is incredably hard to lock on an opponent when firing at them. Even when they are kinda close to you, they are small(and all though my tv isnt gigantic and 42" it should be big enough) and hard to hit. Maybe some ... The games overall playability is nice. So....I only give this a below average rating because i consider the average for todays games outstanding and this game is not for the few reasons I have explained. It doesn't mean that the game is poor. I just means its not as good. P.S. I did play it for a week or so after I got it, but it seams to be collecting dust as we speak. It will probably make it off the shelf every once and a while when I am in the mood for a change.

Must Have Game for any Paintballer
If you love paintball and are not extremely picky on graphics this game is a must. It has many of today's hotest speedball markers to chose from as well as the ability to create you own field. The game does get repetitive in career mode however. But it is an awesome game to play with friends or if you just get bored of the other games in your library. 4.2/5

good game
decent first person shooter, decent graphics, pretty realistic. This game offers both speedball and woodsball modes. In the woodsball version you can shoot in fully auto mode. You can choose how many people on each team and change to multiple locations. If you like paint ball than you'll love this game.

The game is really interesting, but to easy...The graphics are not that great...But overall if you want an paintball game that is interesting, then this is the game to get. O one more thing NO ONE PLAYS ONLINE!

Great game, to be the first they realesed...
Great game, but could be more gear to buy, and differents sounds on each markers, and there should also be allowed to carry more than 4 pods, and different bps ratio on the different tournaments... But fun to play, when you don`t have the chance to play outside...
