Arrived quickly and undamaged. Best price i was able to find. I do feel like the manufacturer could have cleaned up the cnc work. While i havent used it yet there are machine burs on all the aluminum cnc parts. Still that said i feel this is a solid product and i will buy other lee molds.

Lee Products are well thought out and affordable. I have other top of the range brands but also include many of Richards products.
I got the slug bullet mould for my son-in-law as he is getting a 5 shot Adler Lever action 12 ga for Xmas. He will be using it to hunt wild boar in thick scrub and the solid slugs will work well for him. I on the other hand find the new Lee case trimmers very good and I like the collet neck dies in many calibres from the .22K hornet through to the 375H7H. Made in USA initially sounded very nice but ended up being poor quality with such a non-time-consuming production technic & inexpensive part from Lee
I initially left a 5-star review for this mold because even though this mold only allows you to make one slug at a time, after approx 100 slugs everything was going good and it's well worth the extra time to cast my own slugs and reload the hulls that I been saving from shooting ranges. Have you bought a box of 12ga slug shells lately? Not sure about your area but here in eastern Ohio, I couldn't find even a box of 5 basic slug shells for under fifteen dollars!!! I was very fortunate to call at the right time the only recycling center in our area that resells to the public...one of the local plumbing contractors had just dropped off a load of soft lead pipe and the recycling center sold it to me for 60cents per pound. After the process of melting it down into 1lb ingots, I was left with ... After the process of melting it down into 1lb ingots, I was left with nearly 300lbs but then only after casting approx 3 hundred slugs the center part of the mold that casts the conical shape into the rear of the slug fell off. Well as soon as it cooled down and I picked it and it's screw up, I immediately seen how pathetic of a job that Lee did with ONLY providing a screw that goes in LITERALLY 3 threads. They could have EASILY drilled, tapped, and used a longer screw that would keep it held in MUCH more securely. So I tried to put it back together but then found out that the threads the screw went into were now stripped because it wasn't apparent that it was coming loose while I was casting and tapping (yes gently) on the mold to release the slug. So right in the middle of me having nearly 20lbs of molten lead in the pot and having to get 1500 slug shells made whereby I make 500 for each of my brothers for Christmas, I now have to drain the pot back into 1 lb ingots and wait for a day when there's not a foot of snow on the ground and I can make it out to my garage in my wheel chair to drill the hole deeper, tap it, and get a longer screw for it...I mean good grief...why make everything else good quality on these molds and then for Lee to do such a lame job on the screw for it of all things?

Works fine like my other Lee molds takes...
Works fine like my other Lee molds takes a bit of getting used to but makes nice slugs. Just make sure to keep the sprue plate screw , Left hand thread tight ( it loosens easily). Make sure to FULLY open the sprue before tapping the bottom of the center cone and the slug easily pops out. I easily poured 200 slugs in one sitting👍🏻

Awesome product for a great price. The first time I used it I was amazed at how perfect they came out. It took about 10 pours to get in the groove...but after that I was rolling! If you like shooting slugs and have access to lead...this is the ticket.

Great mold at an amazing cost
Lee has really improved the quality of this mold by adding steel alignment pins. This mold needs to be preheated to the point where the sprue cuts easily and will at the higher temps produce nice clean slugs. I would recommend this mold to beginners as well as old time casters. Gave it five stars because the price is so low compared to others.
