Released nearly 30 years after the debut of the television series that inspired it (and several months before the 2004 feature film remake), Starsky & Hutch is a mission-based driving game featuring the edgy, undercover cop duo and their trademark red and white Gran Torino. In the style of the TV series, core gameplay involves high-speed chases through a three-dimensional Bay City. Players are motivated to perform big jumps and other high-speed feats by more than just the goal of catching the criminal, however. Starsky and Hutch must do their job with style -- or not at all.<br><br>As the heroes zip through crowded thoroughfares and crooked alleys, a "Viewer Rating" (VR) score represents the level of excitement the car chase is producing for a theoretical television audience. A steady string of successful stunts will keep the rating high, but viewers will be bored by drivers who play it safe. If the VR level drops too low, the mission is lost. Beyond the driving challenges, the game also features a good deal of shooting. One cop will draw his pistol and hang out the passenger window to auto-aim at various targets while his partner drives. In two-player games, one gamer can take charge of the shooting while the other controls the car.

    Game is not good

    Game plays great. But the game itself is hard. All in all it is a great game. Just have to be patient i guess.

    These games on ebay are great, but TRY to find the more COVETED clear outer CLAMSHELL one, it is worth MONEY

    You will enjoy this game if you play it, if you are a collector, try to find the game with the clear CLAMSHELL over the sealed inner holographic game, it's worth a lot more money. This way your collection will be protected from accidental bumps and scratching and will stay pristine. This means one player controls Starsky as the driver of the car while anyone else can control Hutch who can shoot the bad guys. There will be multiple ICONS a player can shoot or drive the car through to provide additional bonuses. Find one with a factory set clamshell which holds higher value. You will be glad if ever reselling it or holding one to it that your game is fully protected.

    For under 10.00 you would be hard pressed to find a better ps2 game.

    Far better game than the movie or t.v. show ever was. I expected standard bargain bin fair when first I bought this , to say the least I was surprised. The game play is smooth and fun , the two player interactive mode is really the gold in the game. You and a friend will have hours and hours of fun as one is the driver and one works as spotter/shooter (and frustrated at times) playing this. Now I am not saying it is Final Fantasy VII or something groundbreaking like that , but if found for the right price , this game will be worth every penny spent and more for the fun value that would be returned from it.

    Starsky and Hutch (Playstation 2)

    Starsky and Hutch I feel is an overall fun and exciting driving game. The gameplay is intense, exciting and overall realistic considering that it was produced 5 years ago. The story segments were kinda comic book like and slightly cheezy, but overall didn't retract from the game. I would recomend this game for anyone that like driving games or that is a Starsky and Hutch fan.

    great title

    ps2 game was worth buying,great game and great action,was a good purchase.It was a great game to buy for my ps2 unit and I wish there was a game for ps3 since I have that unit too.Starsky and Hutch I used to watch as a kid and now I can play the game.
