Notes
"Die, Die My Darling" is the sixth single by the horror punk band the Misfits. It was released in May 1984 on singer Glenn Danzig's label Plan 9 Records, seven months after the band's breakup. The song is titled after the 1965 horror film Fanatic, which had been released in the United States under the title Die! Die! My Darling! The cover of the single is derived from the cover of the September 1953 issue of the comic book Chamber of Chills. The back cover artwork was created by artist Pushead.

  • Die Die my Darling THE LAST MISFITS SINGLE!

What a great record. What is always been unusual to me is one side is 45 rpm and the flip is 33 rpm. This and all the recent Caroline records reissues sound absolutely fantastic. This 33/45 was the last "Original" Misfits release hitting the shelves just a few months after there original breakup. It contains two songs recorded during the "Earth A.D" sessions (We Bite/Mommy Can I Go Out and Kill Tonight) which are GREAT songs and obvious leftovers from the two sesssions that made "Earth A.D/Wolfsblood". Then the title cut "Die Die my Darling" which contrary to popular belief was recorded while the majority of "Walk Among Us" was cut at Mix O Lydian studio. My theory is that the song didn't "fit" the Walk Among us album which was more poppy and catchy than Die Die My Darling. It has a much ...
