With a 16 MB cache memory, this internal hard drive lets you search and retrieve stored records in seconds. The free-fall sensor protects the Western Digital Caviar (WD1600BJKT), if it is dropped accidentally. As the operating temperature of the Western Digital Caviar (WD1600BJKT) is low, it dissipates less heat and consumes less power, making it an eco-friendly device.

    Great Hard Drive

    Had my old one 250gb model 10 years before its sudden death... Now use this one as a backup for my 750gb model externally. Great drives quiet, fast, reliable. Does drain the laptop battery a little more though, as to be expected with a 7200rpm drive so no big issue there. Will buy again in the future too. Great little drives!
