  • Three Cups of Tea

I bought this book for book club, and want to thank my daughter-in-law, for the most inspiring book I've read in years. What a special man!! You will be so inspired by this book, you will want to adopt one of his schools. I sat down to read one chapter, and ended up reading the first 160+ pages at one sitting. Excellent writing, wonderful story, inspiring for anyone who believes in education, and especially for the girls in third world countries. My hero in this book is Haji Ali, who started this whole mission for his grandchildren. What a wonderful man!! And the other village elders in Pakistan & Afghanistan who also opened their hearts to education for their children & grandchildren. And of course, Greg Mortenson and his family, who are working to keep this dream growing. ...

  • Humanity-driven Thriller

Three Cups of Tea is an amazing story of a man who makes tremendous difference in the lives of people who had practically nothing, in an way that was not driven by ambition, fame, a political or idealogical motive, or typical rich man-charity. Instead, the man is driven by pure, unadulterated humanity, and to top that off, he has the adventure-stamina of an Indiana Jones. Truly a MUST read!

  • Three Cups of Rea (2006)

This is an excellent book. It was recommended by a friend. I have recommended it to many others and I led a book talk review about this book. It's an inspiration to all of us to do something in our life that will leave a lasting legacy. It's a challenge....You must read this book.

  • Three Cups of Tea on CD

I bought this book on CD because it was so inexpensive. The two libraries in my area have the book but it had multiple "holds". The CD was great. I listened while knitting, doing housework, cooking, etc. The reader was clear and expressive.

  • love this book, Three Cups of Tea

My son is a 9th grader, and not a reader at all, but his english class required him to read it. He read every night. He even read ahead. I would recommend this book to everyone.
