I only bought this dvd, because I was in the film. I was one of the chicken zombie's. I actually saw this when it premiered, here in Buffalo, NY. from November 7th till November 13th, (where it was filmed) viewing it with my wife on the 11th. It wasn't what I expected, it was not my wif's "cup of tea" but I knew Troma's reputation, and was a bit more open minded than she was. She didn't like it, and thought it was a waste of time to go. I looked at the big picture, and was more entertained, knowing the spoof that this was about. It is about the fast food industry, and the characters names in this film reflected that. ex.Wendy,Arbie,Paco Bell etc. There is alot of nudity, and some very suggestive lesbianism in this, along with some gross sexual scenes. There is also a lot of gore, blood, ... I only bought this dvd, because I was in the film. I was one of the chicken zombie's. I also enjoyed working with Loyyd Kaufmann, and even though he is a bit obscure, with an active immagination, he is a class act. He also has an unbelievable memory, and remembered my name, and was very impressed with that, considering I was not one of the major players in this. Out of 10, I give this film a 8+1/2. If you like Troma productions, you will probably like this movie. I hope this review was helpful. Thanks for reading this. So good, I want a Sloppy Jose!
This movie is most excellent!! The 3 disc collector's edition includes many behind the scenes footage that shows the real nature of the actors out of character. aAwesome and serious fun to watch and see my friends' reactions! My girlfriend hates it and wouldn't even watch it. My buddy, Henry, his wife loves it! Im kinda jealous, maybe I need to get a new gf who appreciates, acknowledges and respects the finer films. I normally don't like musicals, but this sure did surprise me! Somewhat catchy tunes. The acting is better than I had expected and everything has a connection to the fast food chains (Arby, Denny, Wendy, Paco Bell, Jarred, ect...). The plot of this film is solid and doesn't veer off. There is SOOO much going on in Poultrygeist that you would be on the edge of your seat ... This movie is most excellent!! The blood, chicken stuff and zombies are top grade, especially since this movie probably came out at the beginning of the current zombie kick that everyone seems to be on lately. It is a low budget B movie, but don't let that stop you from watching it!! It definitely surpasses most higher budget movies. I would recommend this film to people who want to gross their grandmothers out, or maybe leave it in the guest bedroom dvd player when your mother-in-law comes to town. I would also recommend this movie to people who like surprises and like to have fun. I would not recommend this to anyone who is a stick in the mud, as they would probably get sick to their stomachs and then you'll have a mess to clean up. I grade this film an A+. Enjoy!

When we ordered this film, we thought it would be silly fun, a campy spoof on the classic zombie flick; the box description had us in stitches! Unfortunately, the only funny thing about this film was the box description -- the rest of the appalling mess was a confusing parade of gross-outs and potty-jokes that don't quite come off as funny. Perhaps if you're a big fan of the Troma Films genre, you might enjoy it (and I will admit that the musical numbers were pretty good, and the dialog was strangely intelligent); but all in all, I would have rather spent my afternoon cleaning the grout in my bathroom.When we ordered this film, we thought it would be silly fun, a campy spoof on the classic zombie flick; the box description had us in stitches! Absolute Troma brilliance at it's best. I wouldn't show this film to my girlfriend or family, but all my friends have seen it and love it. It's a disgusting gore/sex/dirty jokes-fest. All actors are Troma fans acting for free and truly giving it all their best. They're not pros, but you can tell they're proud of giving it all in a Troma film.
