The spark is very short and does not protrude from the tube. I have an ageing gas stove that has failing electric starters. The Pulse igniter works but it has to be practically touching the burner (difficult if the pot is already in place). I may file away a bit of the rim to expose the spark and focus it a little.

I purchased this light on May 27th. Today is June 17th. The tracking provided by the seller STILL shows package "IN TRANSIT TO US". See photo. Seller wasn't helpful. I felt like I was going in circles in conversing with them. I had to file a claim. The ONLY way the seller would send me a replacement was if I cancelled my claim.
