      Fun summer movie

      A cute movie which evokes the nostalgia of youth of another era. Well-acted by 80's "it" girl Phoebe Cates, Bridget Fonda is also good as the preacher's wild daughter, and I love Page Hannah, whom I prefer to her sister, Darryl Hannah. I don't know why she didn't become a bigger star. Just a nice teen movie reminiscent of American Graffiti. It's sort of a Southern version of that, as it's set at around the same time, the early '60's. Love the clothes, hairdo's, music and the dance, The Shag, which gave this movie its title.

      An Old Good Movie

      My oldest daughter loved this movie when she was growing up. I have purchased for my granddaughters. There are a couple of things I think they could have left out of the movie but the girls liked it.

      Great music and a time when life was much easier

      Girlfriend asked me to find this movie as she remembered it from a few years ago. Turned out to be a good movie about teens coming of age. Great music, very little racy language with no nudity. Would buy it again and would recommend it for any teen or young adult.

      Shag, The Movie

      It's a feel-good movie about 4 friends who decide to have a last fling before they go off on different paths. This is a wonderful movie with great actors. I really enjoyed watching it and have done so numerous times. This is a great movie to watch with the girls!
