Seller said the shelves were made of hard plastic and they are layers of peeling cardboard. I wish I took a picture of the packaging because it was carelessly done with little tape and opened box. I will keep my overpriced wire rack and cardboard shelves, sand and paint and replace cardboard with tile like it should have for that price . Shame on you for ripping me off for an item with $5-10 dollars at a garage sale
