    either bad phone design or bought defective phone

    Never got this Doro phone to work acceptably. Suspect that is has a really weak antenna (poor design) &/or that there was a defect in the phone unit we purchased (suspect seller). Problems: Terrible signal/reception and also power/screen/shutdown problems. More details: Bought it for elderly person, set it up on their existing 3rd-party phone service in the US. (The fact that is "unlocked" & thus can be used with existing service was the main reason for buying it overseas through eBay.) The phone could not get a reliable connection in the user's house (whereas another-model phone on same service had no problem in the house, and the Doro phone worked OK in other locations nearby). Tried having the SIM card replaced and also putting a signal-booster in the home; that resulted in minor ...

    A great phone for the elderly if you want a one that's easy but stylis

    I wanted a phone which was easy to work and whose numbers were very easy to see; also a phone which was easily carried in a jacket pocket and whose features were easily understood and readily accessible.I was not interested in cameras, Bluetooth,computer compatibility,or any of these ever-increasing features, 90% of which I would never use!This Doro 610 is just the job for me...I love it!It is a pleasant-looking phone, easy to operate, with sounds as clear as a bell and you have the option of adjusting many features to suit yourself e.g. volume, brightness and tones.You also can dispense with other features which you deem unnecessary for yourself.The clamshell design means you don't have to worry about accidentally operating the keypad!So far, it's a phone I'm very happy to have with me.I ...

    good simple no frills mobile for those having difficulty with sight/hands

    this is a simple no frills clam mobile phone with no camera, internet connection or music storage. It does have large buttons, 3 dedicated buttons A-C for most used numbers, calculator, calendar, alarm, FM radio (using earphones and very small jack plug) and ICE (In Case of Emergency) technology. the ICE exterior button if pressed will send texts to persons registered on the phone as helpers telling them there is an emergency. The speaker is loud, the battery long lasting and the instructions easy to follow once downloaded from Doro site. recommended by WHICH.

    a good buy for users who do not require whistles & bells

    simple to use, easy menu,connects to 4 european transmission bands, fast response good unit.compares favourably with simular units.

    Great phone for the older user

    I have had a mobile phone for some time,because I did'nt use it much the network blocked it apart from emergency calls. So I decided to get a replacement which wasn't locked. I found the Doro to be ideal easy to see easy to hear and simple to operate. I still don't use it much,but I love it and would recommend it to anyone who dosent need all the bells and whistles of a smart phone.
