  • not sure what to think

it was a very well done comic, let me say that right off the bat, Dan Clowes is a brilliant artist and a talented real-to-life writer, but I just couldn't get into it. I know comics aren't all super-heroes and crime dramas, filled with big effects and over the top pugilism, i'm not a dumbass. but still, if you're looking for "real" comics there are plenty of other routes to go that would get you a bit more sucked in than this. if you're looking for a comic without guns girls and capes try Bechdel's "Fun Home" or the critically acclaimed "Maus" series by Spiegelman. Individually the episodes are witty, edgy and fun to watch. But watching a whole DVD full of the episodes and then going to the next season is just overkill for me. Too much of Sex and the City!! I couldn't finish seeing the final episodes, neither could my wife. We haven't been back to rent the final season because of overload! Same with this book for me! Too many dirty words over and over again.... I made it two-thirds of the way through reading this, skimmed ...
