Never received a tracking number but the item was shipped quickly and did arrive as described. The corners of the outer packaging were all smooshed and rounded due to the typical envelope shipping method, but the bluray cases and disks within were still pristine.

    Rare games are rare

This is an amazing game. It's novel, well constructed and has high replay value. Is the value good? Of course not, but that's because it's so freaking rare! If you want a chance to play the original and hold a rare cartridge, then it's time to pony up the dough.

  • Metal Storm Review

I personally remember this game from reading the review in the old Nintendo Power magazines countless times. After playing it at a friends house I knew I had to have it. Set as a side-scrolling 2D adventure, it has gameplay reminiscent of the Mega Man series. Anyone who liked them should like this game. The controls are a bit different to figure out at first, but are easy to get used to. Like many games for the NES, you don't get many lives and you die after your first hit. However it is somewhat challenging to the point where you have to keep playing it until you get to the end. What I like most about the game is that its everything I expected from reading the review in Nintendo Power so many years ago, and I'm still very pleased with it being a 20-something year old. What I don't ...

  • A classic NES game

I played this game back in the late 80's and I always had a lot of fun playing it. You're basically the most awesome robot in the universe because you can control one very important aspect of game play: Gravity! That's right my friends. This robot is so awesome, so God-like in his powers he can actually control gravity!!! One minute he's on the floor, the next he can be dancing on the ceiling like Lionel Richie. Despite this awesome advantage that even makes most modern games look pathetic in their ideas and ambitions, the Gunner robot is not invincible. One or two hits and he explodes in the most gloriously beautiful animation ever seen on an 8-bit console. Metalstorm is a heck of a fun game, it's a classic, and the difficulty curve is just right. So if you've ever wanted to play as an ...

  • Metal Storm for NES

Metal Storm is a classic NES game from irem. Metal Storm is like a traditional shooter a la Contra but adds it's own unique twist to the formula. In Metal Storm, you are in control of the gravity. Gravity switching becomes a huge gameplay element towards the middle section of the game. Beware the faint of heart, though. If you're just a casual gamer that doesn't finish most games (like myself) the 5th level and beyond may be out of your range. The difficulty is of epic Ninja Gaiden proportions. Still, don't let that deter you. I have yet to beat the 4th stage and, still, I have a blast each and every time I put this cartridge into the system. Metal Storm WILL kick your ass. But you'll have a great time each time you switch the system on. Controls are solid. Graphics are solid. ...

  • Totally a manual

So, I ordered the Metal Storm manual, and it is Awesome. It gives you a brief overview of the game, no spoilers, and it has a wicked cliffhangar that makes you play the game to get to the ending! You need to get this manual!
