MCT Oil for Dementia
MCT (Medium Chain Triglycerides) Oil is the miracle component of coconut oil that can be used in so many wonderful ways...but the BEST is to take it for dementia or Alzheimer's symptoms. I watched my Mom snap back from drug-induced dementia, which caused tremors and loss of short term memory. With just 2 tablespoons a day at dinner time, she was tremor-free after 3 days, and telling us every detail of every day, and finally able to feed herself and converse with all her caregivers! It was truly incredible. I love that Now Sports brand packages the oil in a dark glass bottle. This protects the oil from rancidity, and there's no chance of leaching nasty chemicals from the bottle, as with plastic. The oil is pleasant, almost tasteless, and is very easy to take right out of a tablespoon. I'm ... I love MCT oil and I love the brand I ordered the bottle that was glass but when it came it was plastic was not notified of the switch because plastic is so bad for you and all the chemicals that make the plastic it leaches when heated into the MCT oil very disappointed

As far as MCT oil goes, this stuff is a great product, and a great value, most of the time it is the lowest priced item, There is a CON however, the glass container. If the cap doesn't get broken, the whole bottle could be damaged. My only issue is the container, and oil in a plastic container taste no differently.

Great product for short bowel(Crohn's Diseases) when needing to put on weight after surgery, removed of 42 inches of diseased small bowel. Surgery was in 2005, couldn't put wieght on and in 2006 doctor advice me to start taking 3 tablespoons a day and within a year I was up 10 lbs. and keeping weight on as I continued to take MCT Oil. The doctor stated MCT OIl had been used by cancer patients that had some loss of the small bowel that couldn't put on wieght.
