    Hardened nails great for oak trim

    Although I recommend a pilot hole (by grinding off a head off and chucking the nail in a drill), this nail is least likely to bend when hammering to place. It is a good choice for 3/4" oak round or shoe molding.

    The only nails to use for base boards and trim.

    If you are working with trim and base boards, these are the only nails to use. Thin and resist bending. Dark color does not stand out in the wood. So you may not need to apply colored putty. Lowes and Ace Hardware made a huge mistake when they dropped these in favor of GripRite.
