I can't get any of my BT receivers -- head phones, ear pods, boom-box speaker -- to connect. Have verified that there is sound coming out of the TV port (using phono plugs, sound is coming from small AV plug) but no luck connecting. Instructions say to "short press" to move from device to device. I've tried a lot of my devices, verified they connect to other BT sources (Raspberry Pi 3 for example). Will keep trying.
