2019 ACER Helios 300, please read my review before you buy. New 2020 model released in July 2020.
This 2019 Helios 300 sold for $1,099 in April 2019. Priced dropped to $999 by Sept. 2019. Don't pay more than $799 for this 2019 Helios 300 and beside its 1 year warranty had expired and if not, the warranty is not transferable. The new 2020 Helios 300 starting at $1,199 USD in July 2020. The 2018 model was good and the 2019 model was better. It appears ACER had not made any significant improvements. The Intel i7 processors are of the same 14nm architecture as Intel only tweaked the clock for a boost in Turbo. Shame on Intel as in reality a minute difference from Gen 8, Gen 9 and Gen 10. Also ACER did not give us the opportunity to get the RTX 2080 Super in the new 2020 release. What is offered is barely a step up from 2019. Also using the same low power 57.28Wh Battery. Once again for the 3rd consecutive year we will get poor Battery life or short usage from the battery. While plugged in the 180 Watt AC Adapter does get hot. Overall, the Predator Helios 300 performs well for the little power house it is. You do get you money worth in the balance of things. Unfortunately, ACER had increased the based price $100 as in 2019 was $1,099 USD here in 2020 it is $1,199 USD. Is the small Turbo increase you get with Intel i7-10750H Gen. 10 CPU worth the extra $100? I would of thought ACER would do better in 2020. They did make some improvements to their Helios 700 and Nitro 7. The Predator Helios 300 was in the TOP 3 entry mid-range gaming laptops of 2019. Otherwise, check out the Razer Blade 15 and Lenovo Y740 or maybe one of the MSI laptops.The Helios 300 is of average weight class at 5.28lbs and with AC Adapter at 6.57lbs but it is no lightweight.

Loud but works
Pros: Can run all my games well (league of legends, overwatch, sims 4, etc) So far no technical issues. Cons: VERY LOUD. Very little storage space for a gaming pc. Had to buy an SSD.

Very happy with product however, IT DOES NOT COME WITH HDD MOUNTING BRACKET OR CABLE. Would have liked to have known that beforehand as I ordered an HDD at same time. Had to buy and additional SSD.

Not sure what this means........
It came not working and we had to send it back. It did come back working the second time, but with a loud fan. I think the contact people do a good job but the folks in McAllen TX don't have time to repair correctly (without causing another problem).
