Bizzarely Interesting In Spite Of Its Horribleness.
If you're going into this movie because it's Brad Pitt's first major acting role and you're curious to see if he delivers a good performance, you'll be sorely disappointed. However, if you go into it looking for a bloody, campy slasher movie....you'll still be somewhat disappointed, but marginally less so. The acting is uniformly terrible, but in an almost compelling way, in that the characters actions seem to have little bearing on logic or human thought throughout most of the movie. The budget was clearly small as well, for most of the kills are laughably bad, the high (low?) point being when the killer hits a teacher in the head with a clearly rubber axe, and the teacher literally holds it in place against his forehead as fake blood covers his head. This movie isn't quite so bad that it ... I enjoyed this movie as a teenager and I am glad I still do. Like a lot of big actors Brad Pitts career started in a horror movie that's why they show more respect to horror films. I love them and would of been happy having a acting career just in horror films. Jill Schoelen also stars in this movie about a mentally ill high school student who returns and the body count starts to climb quickly. 💀I enjoyed this movie as a teenager and I am glad I still do. EARLY PITT FLICK A GROANER!
I was surfing Ebay one day, and came across this Brad Pitt movie I was unaware of. Well, if you can stick it out through the 88 minutes of this movie, as I did, you get a gold star! I'm sure Mr. Pitt would not like to think this movie is available, for many reasons, mainly the acting, or lack thereof. I'm sure that Roddy MacDowell and Martin Mull were somehow "drugged" because their acting so so unbelieveably bad, that Pitt looks like Academy Award material. The plot is just as bad, as are the effects, or lack thereof. Save your money, and pass on this one, unless you are a die-hard Brad Pitt fan...and incidently, there is no skin as far as Mr. Pitt is concerned...sorry! Just the ocassional female breast. This is just a cheesy 80's B movie horror flick! It's really funny and worth watching! It's kinda rare, and I don't know many people who've seen it. The ones that have say it sucks, but they aren't into the same kind of movies as I am. My husband hadn't seen it until I brought it up, and he liked it. We're into Troma, old B horror and sci-fi, and trash films. If you like the stuff we're into, you'll get a kick out of this flick!!!This is just a cheesy 80's B movie horror flick!
