ELO.... I was an ELO fan as a teen, (serious) Belt buckle and all. No Answer through Time. (all on 8 track at the time) Bought all the LP's in college to replace the 8tracks. Secret Messages was just too much commercialism. Balance of Power I have only heard once in my life, Sounded just like Secret Messages, only worse. I do not and will not own any of the Greatest Hits, or compalation albums. Once I start listening to an album I have to listen to the whole album as it was produced. Zoom, I wanted a copy to hear it. There are three tracks that are not bad. I am sorry but the rest I feel could have been left out. But to rate it with the other albums? That would be tough. ELO changed over the 70's decade. The sound changed. I like all of it (in that time frame). But like most bands, ...

  • ELO is still ELO and "zoooom" is the proof!!!

ELO has always been a personal favorite of mine. gravel like rock n roll meets an autumn blend of meloncholy violins and cellos....good stuff. "ZOOM" was a risk, as I havent heard anything "new" from ELO in awhile....but it was a risk that payed off. if you love ELO, you will LOVE this cd. If you think all their stuff "sounds the same"...you will HATE this cd. Old school ELO is alive and well.....thank you Jeff Lynn.

  • Poor recording quality

Poor mixing and recording. Thin Bass, muffled treble, no dynamic range. Recording Engineers should not be deaf.

  • Good album

Definitely not the good old days of ELO. Very listenable, well written and performed.

  • Sounds like classic ELO

Being a casual ELO fan, I was not familiar with this album or any of the songs, but I was very pleased after listening to the entire CD. Sounded a lot like classic ELO.
