About this product

Product Information

After enjoying chart-topping success on Wii, Ubisoft's Michael Jackson: The Experience moonwalks over to the motion-sensing Kinect and PlayStation Move peripherals. The Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions offer ability to sing as well as dance, allowing users to create the complete concert experience. Other key features are specific to each platform. Kinect owners, for example, can see themselves directly within the game, with body motion tracking that lets players act like the former King of Pop across a number of music video-inspired environments. Both co-op and competitive modes are included for up to four players, and there are multiple difficulty settings as well as a practice mode. In addition to the soundtrack from the Wii version, the Xbox 360 game includes a number of exclusive tracks, from "Blood on the Dance Floor" to "I Just Can't Stop Loving You."

Great dance game on the technical side (within Kinect's limitations)

It is a very particular dance game. Movement detection prizes accuracy much more than, say, Zumba Fitness or Just Dance (but not as much as Dance Central). Video lessons not feature MJ directly (looks like he passed away during production), but feature dancers that worked with him. But there is no shortage of MJ throughout the game. If you want something more challenging, but not beyond what the Kinect can reasonably judge (looking at you, Dance Central), this is a fun game, that can be picked up cheap if you already got an XBox 360/Kinect.

  • Top critical review

    Just the wrong platform.

We had this game when we had the Wii set up, it was fantastic! So when we finally got the fancy Xbox 360 with Kinect this was one of our first purchases. From the beginning everything is very difficult to do. Yes there is a learning curve using the Kinect, but all other games are easily done, with this one just getting to game play was difficult. The game itself?! Where's Michael? Who am I supposed to follow? The dancers keep disappearing! We have other dance games for this Xbox and they are great -- what happened here?

  • Fast, fun and exhausting.

It is a fun game to play. I am a Michael Jackson fan, so the music is great. My wife wanted it to use to lose weight with. She enjoys the music also. I like watching others try to mimic the moves. My grandkids love it. They do a pretty good job of keeping up with the game. I'm not a dancer, but it is fun to try. Anyone who is a Michael Jackson fan will like this game.

  • Are you an MJ fan? Then this game for KINECT is a definite must have.

Was really excited about the release of this game, as was my family. We found it at a fantastic price here on the bay. That's what we come here for, right? Anyhow, this game is fantastic and a must have for any self respecting MJ fan. Every hit is on there. And as the title says it is quite the experience. One literally has access to MJ's dancers and choreographers. I was really taken aback by the level of accuracy the game picked up. I haven't had many hours within the game and menus but I am so far really impressed with the game's fun factor and replayability.

  • Great way to get kids to exercise!

I got this for my son & now I’m hooked too! It’s NOT easy - but it is a lot of fun and a great way to exercise without feeling like you’re going through the “hum-drum” routine of typical exercise. Tons of laughs! Be willing to laugh at yourself, because it’s MUCH harder than it looks!
