This is one of my favorite beginner board books about the seasons...Richard Scarry ROCKS!
I searched and found this exact book on eBay for a great price as a brand new hardcover book. As a daycare provider, I enjoy finding and reading high-quality authors and their work. This story is particularly endearing to children as well as their families. Richard Scarry is one of the first reliable authors of educational books and is still a favorite among the critics. He does it RIGHT. This is an excellent story through and through -- including content, illustrations (also by Scarry) and, a sweet, sweet story-line. Buy this book! Family favorite
Our son loved this book growing up. He had it memorised before he was two. Now they are having a baby so I will pass it on. In the meantime, our daughter had a son and I began reading this to him. Everytime I see him he says, "Nicky!". He's 18 months old, so I bought him his own copy. I don't know how he knew to shorten Nicholas to Nicky, but I'm delighted to read it over and over. Now he almost had it memorised too. This is durable enough for at least two generations. It also teaches about the four seasons .Our son loved this book growing up. Favorite book of our 14 year old grandson and a favorite of our daughters
This is a book that my daughters, who were born in '93 and '95, loved. I like the illustrations which appeal to children and the story of different seasons. However, the thing my girls liked best was the motions we did with each page--smelling the flowers, eating the strawberries, blowing the dandelions, "splashing" the water with the frogs, etc. Before they could talk, they would do motions for each page as I read the book. I was determined to find in for our grandson, who just turned 14 months old. He is following in his mom's footsteps and will go get the bunny book for us to read together. This is by far his favorite book!This is a book that my daughters, who were born in '93 and '95, loved. I like the illustrations which appeal to children and the story of different seasons. Cutest book ever
I got this for my four-year-old granddaughter. The drawings are beautiful. I fell in love with this bunny. My granddaughter enjoyed it, but I insisted it be kept at my house because I keep looking at its beauty.
