This is not what I expected as I thought the bale (bottom small circle) opened up as to add a larger naja or pendant to beads. It is just a crack to slide a thin ring that is on a pendant into the piece. Guess I am to close it with pliers to ensure the pendant does not fall off. It works for one pendant but no changing out. It is as advertised but think it could be clearer. I have seen these where it opens and clicks shut to interchange numerous pendants

Hello again- u have to Open it to use it, then Close it. It DOES open...the "small crack" u mentioned is the opening in the Ring, and is too small to attach to anything unless you actually Open it. Use 2 pairs of pliers to open and reverse that same movement to close. U must close it back to secure ur pendant so it does not fall off. It also can be attached, removed from 1 pendant, then re-attached to a different pendant, so it can be used with more than one- but HAS to be opened to ever use it.
