Useful good value eliminate your paper storage.
Tired of having to save documents, forms, cards etc in file which take up way to much room and unless your file cabinets are maintained to the Nth degree your always seem to spend more time searching for your document than necessary. So far the scanner seems to be working as promised but still learning how to use it properly. If it goes the way we hope we will eliminate all existing and future paper files. I wish it was a little more user friendly with prompts asking what you would like to do with the document scanned or where it should be placed. Like I said it may do that but there is a bit of a learning curve. If you want to go paperless, this scanner will take you there!!
I bought this product because I needed a scanner which would convert documents into pdf files quickly. Wanting to clear all the paper clutter I have, I hoped it would be the answer. Boy is it! This scanner moves that paper through very quickly and the ocr is great. Now I can keep better track of my records and can find them quickly. No more piles of paper. The product/software worked exactly as described for the Mac. It is very flexible, allowing you to organize your files the way that works best for you. It was so easy to use, I didn't have to read the manual. I like everything about the product, however, I wish a longer USB cable had been included. 3 ft. just was too short for me. I had to get a longer one. That is a minimal complaint however. A really great product for the ... Clear Out the Paper Clutter!
I bought this scanner because paper was taking over my life. I wanted to store information electronically and dump the paper. We had some trouble getting it up and running, but NeatDesk replaced the unit. Since then all has been good. It is easy to operate and has cleared my files! The OCR isn't quite as skilled as advertised, but it gets most of the info. The rest is easy to add manually. It is easy to transfer from documents to receipts for receipts that are letter size. I am totally pleased with this scanner and don't know how I lived without it for so long!I bought this scanner because paper was taking over my life.
