It was pricey, but it was the only Texas Instruments PHA4100 available at the time. It still worked after 40+ years and husband loved it. But in terms of eBay selling, the transaction was smooth, fast shipping, okay packaging. I am pleased with the experience. Ordered Tuesday, arrived Friday. Not bad!

    Very good Blu ray player

I was happy with this purchase to have this player added to my TV viewing in my secondary room. It has a good picture and compares to my main TV s set up with a home theater combo. It was easy to set up from on screen guide.

    Small Panasonic BD Player BD903

I bought this BD player as a replacement for an early model Sony BD player that is no longer being supported by Sony, so hook-up was nothing more than plugging in the HDMI cable and power cord. The instruction leaflet that came with the unit is very basic so I downloaded and printed out the owners manual. I found that when the remote was used to power up the BD player, it also turned on a Panasonic CD player in an adjacent cabinet. A friend who is more clever than I am told me how to solve this problem. I'm still in the learning curve in attempting to navigate around to get the machine to play the discs, and hope this becomes easier with use. I still have not figured out how to get my Sony television to respond to the power and volume controls on the remote. On the good side, the firmware ...

  • Excellent!!!

After much waiting I finally received my multi-region Blu-Ray player today. I live in the UK so I had to wait slightly longer. Was it worth all this wait? Pretty much. Everything is well packaged. A couple of user guides including how to use the multi-region part of the player are all there. The main guide is fairly simple to follow although I still found it a bit of trial and error trying to find out how to sort out contrast, resolution and sharpness. As you can imagine there are so many menus more often than not you find yourself accidently going back to the setup menu when you want the disc menu. As I'm atill getting used to the player I'm not yet sure whether the player is supposed to load the movie straight away, whether there's actually a menu screen to get through. You can allow ...

  • Good for a Low Price Only

This is a good unit if you can buy it for a low price under $40. Though advertised as a streaming player it is not up to date on online features. It does not have an internet browser, but you can (using the WiFi only) stream NetFlix, You Tube and a few other sites that are preset in the player. It will also update your firmware automatically via WiFi. It is advertised as Smart Capable, but is not a Smart Player. As a DVD player it functions well, but its remote is somewhat simplified in its functions. I purchased this as a second Bu-Ray player for a set that I basically just desired a Blu-Ray player. If you want a full featured Smart Blu-Ray DVD player this is not the unit to buy.

  • Good basic blu ray player.

If you're looking for a BASIC blu ray player(without all of the bells and whistles), then this is the one for you! It has a very nice picture and there is no "set up" required. The speed varies, which means that you may lag a step or two behind when watching a fast-paced movie. Also, the unit itself only has the "basic" functions, so you cannot fast forward or rewind from the unit. As my blu ray player did not come with a remote, this is rather inconvenient (especially if you don't want to watch previews from other movies or if you want to see a certain scene again). Other than that, the blu ray player does exactly what it's supposed to do. Again, this is a BASIC unit. As such, there is no wifi and the unit is not 3D capable or 3D ready. If you are looking for a basic blu ray player ...
