Windows 10 8.1 8 7 Vista XP compatible Owned mine since 2002 Still works!
I purchased mine to use with a desktop in order to support the different camera card reader since I had teen daughters. It reads Many different sizes of cards and is automatically recognized by all of the Windows operating systems. It runs on the USB 2.0 port so the port in the front of your desktop or a laptop is good. Save the one on the back of your laptop 3.0 for your faster products. Transfer speed in writing to a card is a bit slow but transferring to my win10 sys was simple. The manuals are on the web and easily obtained for free. It is a pnp plug n play model. If your system does not recognize it, plug it up, reboot your computer then look for the drive. It will pick this up as an actual hard drive on your computer. Remove your card (it may have an eject (right click on the drive see if there is an eject option) then remove the card to not corrupt it. Let me test it real quick so that I can tell you precisely what to do. In just plugging it in again, I believe that I have to reboot, my system is not reading it. I may have too many things open as well. It has been rock solid and very dependable. I highly suggest it and has enabled me to save and transfer data from one computer to another with ease.
